Family's Introduction to Au Pair
Dear Candidate,
We are a well educated, highly driven fun family, fit and healthy. (Although with our kids, we do not always have the time to train as we used too.) Dr K is an Emergency Specialist (Physician) and Mr K a registered Attorney-at-Law in the High Court of South Africa. Mr K will be returning to University to complete his Masters in 2019, a prelude to practice law in Canada.
Our kids are energetic, well educated and disciplined. We consider the Bible as central to our ideology, as well as our culture. We are very focused on our culture and religion.
Soon we will be opening our martial arts academy in our hometown and believe in nurturing a healthy body, soul and spirit.
Seriousness aside: We are the paradoxical personification of 'geeks'. We love watching movies, playing board- and electronic games, as well as training martial arts. We enjoy engaging intellectual conversation relating to philosophy, theology, ideology, world politics and medical-legal jurisprudence. We enjoy travelling and doing geocaching.
Ultimately, we love spending time with our kids.

Job Description
Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents, Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, Shop for food and household supplies, Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties, Bathe, dress and feed infants and children, Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, Prepare infants and children for rest periods, Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children, Sterilize bottles, prepare formulas and change diapers for infants, Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, Take children to and from school and to appointments, Tend to emotional well-being of children, Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, Organize, activities such as games and outings for children, Prepare and serve nutritious meals, Supervise and care for children, Help children with homework.
