Family's Introduction to Au Pair
Dear au pair, our family is composed of three children (Zoé, Henri and Lou-lou), a dog, two cats, a hamster and a bearded dragon. 4 guinea pigs will join us in August. The children go to the British School, where they are taught in English/French. We speak Dutch at home. We (the parents) work as a doctor (David) and as a Prosecutor (Olivia). We all play music (cello, piano, guitar, drums, bass, and violin), and love the outdoors. We ski several times a year in Switzerland, love the sea, and try to go out whenever we can. The children are a lot of fun. They do a lot of sports, play music, and like to read, or do other creative stuff. We try to limit screen-time as much as we can.
We live in a small city in a big house that we just renovated, with a garden that goes into forests. There is a small house next to our house (the old stables) that has been renovated and that has a kitchen, bathroom, living room, and bedroom, where the au pair can stay. At walking distance, there is a train station with direct access to the city of Leuven (in 12 minutes). We are looking for an energetic, kind, fun, and easy-going au pair who can drive the children to school (20-30 minutes) with our car, pick them up, play with them, and do their homework (in French mainly). At times later pick-ups maybe needed (for example when they have extra activities). Also, the au-pair would need to cook (we have pre-ordered food-boxes with recipes), keep the kitchen tidy, and organize the laundry. We have a cleaning lady (8 hours a week), so no cleaning is needed. The au pair would also need to walk the dog (in the forest). The amount of hours should never exceed 4 hours a day / 20 hours a week. In accordance with the Belgian rules, we offer full housing in a separate house in the garden (with a kitchen, bathroom, living room and bedroom), 450 Euro pocket money (monthly), the travel costs to come to Belgium, and the obligatory medical insurance and repatriation insurance.

Job Description
We are an open minded, international family with three lovely children (aged 9, 11, and 12). We are looking for a creative, energetic, animal loving au pair, to play with the children, drive them around, help them with their homework, cook, and help with the laundry (we have a cleaning lady who does the rest). Being a confident driver and speaking/writing French is a must as the children go to an English/French school and need help with their (French) homework.
