Family's Introduction to Au Pair
Dear candidate, we are an international family, since I, Riccardo, am Italian with french and American roots and my wife Stephanie has Lebanese and Italian roots as well.
Isabella and Chiara (9 and 7) are two lovely happy child with a lot of energy and sense of humor. The fact that they grew up in Africa make them nature lovers, adventures and quite independent. But they also need regularity and clear rules, this is why the candidate should have a mix of caring love and character. We need someone nice, relaxed, eager to learn and to teach while also having a mature approach with kids and understanding when it is time to have fun and when to do homework's and being disciplined. The capacity to build confidence and communicate well with the children is therefore very important. The kids go the french Lycée, following the international curriculum (70% french and 30% English). It is therefore essential that you have a good written and spoken command of French.We are actually lucky to live in a beautiful large house, in the middle of a huge garden, not far away from the city center ( bus stop is 8 'walking distance). The place is very tranquil and you can barely hear any noise, a part that of the birds. I am an EU diplomat and my wife a documentary producer, we therefore are open to the world and are open minded. We love nature and we want our children to grow in a healthy, interesting, intellectually stimulating and happy environment. You will be in a safe, friendly and respectful environment and you will be able to have open and franc conversations with us , and tell us if there is anything you would like to communicate to us without any fear. We wish to find an au pair that matches this spirit for a mutually rewarding experience.

Job Description
We have two smiling and happy daughters of 7 and 9. They speak french, English and Italian. They leave for the fist time in Europe, having been grown up in Africa (because of our diplomatic duties) They are sociable and make easy friendship. Since we are often away for work reasons, we need a nanny that can provide continuity to our children, provide them with care, play with them, help doing home works (in french and possibly English), preparing dinner for them, taking care of their room. We need an au pair that brings positive energies in the family, that has a spirit of initiative, that is creative, trustworthy, honest, clean and responsible. We offer a nice large room with in suite bathroom (shower), in a beautiful house with a big garden, which is in the middle of a private park, not far away from Brussels center. The successful candidate will be welcomed and treated as a family member, with respect and honesty, she or he will be able to use all the houses facilities, enjoy the garden, bicycles an use the car when necessary. She or he will have room and board. She or he could accompany us on holidays in Italy and elsewhere if she/he wishes.
The selected candidate will have to pick up the children at the bus station (8' away from home)around 5pm and stay with them until bad time. In the morning, at 7h, , she/he will help waking them up, cleaning, dressing and preparing breakfast before they go to school at 8h. Sometimes, if possible she/he could drive them to school (french Lycée) which is 20 minutes away.
My wife and I are quite flexible, so we can always discuss and agree on fine tuning our arrangement. We are always ready to discuss, exchange views and listen to each others. We jus ask for honesty, reliability, positiveness, love for our children and spirit of initiative.
