We are Christof and Natalie, a warm and lively family of six living in Vienna, Austria. We have four wonderful children: Riva (10), Lora (9), Theo (6), and our youngest, Ella (3).

Family life in our home is active, joyful, and full of energy. Our children love being outdoors, playing, doing creative activities, and spending time together. We are looking forward to welcoming an au pair who would enjoy becoming part of this everyday family life.

We live very close to nature — only about five minutes by bus from the forest. It’s a place where we love to spend time walking, biking, and playing outside, often together with our dog. We have bicycles, and the older children are already allowed to ride around the neighborhood and in the forest. Spending time outdoors is an important part of our family routine.

The children have many interests: Theo and Lora have recently started playing tennis, Riva enjoys football, and both Riva and Lora play a bit of hockey. Theo also likes playing chess. In our garden, we have a small woodworking shed where the older children enjoy crafting and building things under supervision. The three elder ones have been attending a painting class for more than a year, which they enjoy.

We are also a multicultural household. Natalie was born in Austria and speaks native-level Russian through her mother. Christof has studied and worked in the U.S. and London and occasionally travels internationally for work. The children speak German and Russian, and the older ones are starting to learn English — we would love for our au pair to communicate primarily in English. German is not necessary.

We enjoy traveling and spending time together as a family. In winter, we love skiing — all of the children already ski, and Lora has recently started snowboarding. In summer, we enjoy hiking and spending time in the mountains; last year we spent a week in a mountain hut and went hiking from there. We also love going to the sea in summer, often traveling to Italy, and enjoy camping as well as staying in hotels as a family.

We live in a beautiful house with a large garden and a swimming pool, where we spend a lot of time in summer. We also have a very friendly dog and three cats, so animal lovers will feel very much at home.
Both of us are lawyers and are able to work from home a few times a week. We also have a cleaning lady, so your focus will truly be on childcare rather than household chores.

Ideally, we would love someone who can start soon and become part of our family life right away.

We are a family of six living in Vienna, Austria, with four children aged 3, 6, 9, and 10. We are looking for an energetic, playful, and patient au pair to support our family, mainly with childcare in the afternoons, as well as occasional help in the mornings and evenings.

Main Responsibilities
Our youngest child, Ella (3), attends kindergarten, while the older children go to school and usually come home between 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Your main role will be to spend quality time with them after school — playing, doing crafts, being outdoors, and keeping them active and engaged.
We are not a “TV household” — we want our children to enjoy creative play, sports, books, and fun activities rather than sitting in front of screens.

In addition, we would appreciate some light help with:
- bringing Ella to kindergarten in the morning (around 7:30)
- picking her up occasionally
- accompanying the older children to nearby activities such as tennis or football
- visits to Vienna’s wonderful public libraries with the kids
- helping the children develop good daily habits (tidying their own things, morning/evening routines)
Meal preparation is sometimes part of family life — if you enjoy cooking, that’s wonderful, and if not, no problem at all. Natalie is an excellent cook and would happily teach you, and cooking together with the kids can be a fun activity.

Working Hours
We expect around 25–30 hours per week, mostly Monday to Friday, with occasional babysitting in the evenings if we go out.
Weekends will be mostly free, so you can explore Vienna, Austria or take a weekend trip to another European city, if you wish.

Accommodation & Benefits
You will have your own private living space: a small apartment with your own bathroom. Of course, there is WiFi, privacy, and plenty of free time.
You will also have vacation time by agreement and many opportunities to explore Vienna, Austria, and Europe on weekends.
We offer the official Austrian au pair pocket money as a base (€551.10 gross per month) plus additional money by arrangement.
A driver’s license is not required, although if you are a very confident driver, you might occasionally use our car — completely optional.

Our home is located in Vienna, with one of the best public transport systems in the world. The city center is only about 20 minutes away, and Schönbrunn Palace just 15 minutes away.
