We are a welcoming family in our 30s living in sunny Brisbane, Australia. We have three young boys aged 5, 3, and a baby (care of the infant is not required). Our children are full of energy, curious about the world, and love everything from Bluey and Thomas the Tank Engine to Spiderman.
We are looking for an au pair who is excited to become part of our family life, provide care mainly for our 5-year-old, and bring a sense of fun and warmth into our home.
What We Offer
We want you to feel comfortable, supported, and at home with us. You’ll have:
Private living space: Entire lower floor of the house, including a large private room with queen bed, couch, TV, and personal bathroom/shower.
Meals included: Shared family meals, plus access to kitchen.
Entertainment & connectivity: High-speed internet and access to streaming services.
Convenient location: Our home is very close to the train station for easy access to Brisbane City, and also perfectly placed for weekend getaways to the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast.
Cultural experience: Enjoy Brisbane’s warm climate, outdoor lifestyle, and family-friendly culture while being part of our daily life.

Job Description
The main focus will be caring for our 5-year-old before and after school:
Morning routine: help prepare breakfast, get ready for school, and do drop-off (7:00–9:00 am).
Afternoon routine: pick up from school, afternoon play, snacks, and general care until parents return (2:30–5:30 pm).
Play and activities: engage in fun, creative play that matches his interests.
Light household tasks related to the children: tidying up after meals, keeping play areas neat.
Care of the baby is not required, and our 3-year-old is mostly in long daycare.
Additional babysitting opportunities (evenings/weekends) may also be available by agreement.
Hours & Schedule
Monday to Friday
Morning shift: 7:00 am – 9:00 am
Afternoon shift: 2:30 pm – 5:30 pm
Who We’re Looking For
We’d love someone who is:
Responsible, caring, and enjoys spending time with young children.
Energetic and playful to match our boys’ interests and activities.
Open to joining our family life while also having independence.
Ideally holds a driver’s licence (but this is not essential if comfortable with public transport).
Interested in staying with us for 6–12 months.
Weekends free, unless additional babysitting is arranged.
