About our household:
- My husband and I both work full-time Monday to Friday; my husband leaves the house at 7 AM and is back at 6 AM. I work from home and my work day typically spans 10-12 hours too but I work from 8:30 AM to 5 PM, and then login at night on most weekdays; occasionally my husband might go in to work on Saturdays and I too might work on a weekend (rare)

- My toddler is 2 years and 10 months old and she's in a Montessori program right next to our house; she needs to be dropped off between 7:45 AM and 8 AM and picked up at 2:45 PM

- My infant will be 3-4 months old by the time the au pair starts and will be exclusively breastfed

How the au pair is expected to fit in on a work-day:
- Morning:

Our toddler wakes up around 7 AM and morning activities include using the bathroom, brushing, breakfast, getting ready for school (brushing hair, wearing socks / shoes / jacket), and packing her bag (fruits and yoghurt for snacks, a lunch box, water bottle). I would like the au pair to help with some of these activities and/or watch the infant so I can take care of these activities. The au pair can also drop her off to school (the school is right next door and travel time is ~15 seconds)

One of the benefits of having an au pair while I work from home is the ability to continue breast feeding our infant; if/when the infant is hungry, the au pair can bring him to me for feeding. If I'm busy / in meetings, I'll have a bottle or 2 of expressed breast milk prepared which the au pair can warm up and give to the child

Rest of the morning will involve watching the infant - feeding, naps, activities (stroller walk or tummy time etc.)

- Afternoon: Pick-up my daughter from school at 2:45 PM, give after-school snack, help her go to the bathroom (she's currently being potty trained), and do activities (park or classes or indoor games)

- Evening / night: Minimal work expected as my husband and I will be done with work and the au pair will largely have evenings to herself

Au pair will also have the weekends free unless there's a change in schedule which will be discussed as needed. The bulk of the support needed is Monday to Friday when my husband and I are working

NOTE: The above schedule is when my toddler's school is in session which runs from September through June. In the month of July and August and during school breaks (e.g., Spring break), my toddler will be home and the au pair will watch both kids in the morning and afternoon. The evening/night schedule will remain the same with minimal involvement expected. We will organize activities such as summer camp, classes, library events to engage the toddler
