Our family is a vibrant blend of personalities and needs. We have three wonderful children: Scarlett, 8, Kai, 5, and Olive, 3. Scarlett is creatively inclined, with a love for dance, art, and music, and she thrives when engaged in these activities alongside her academic pursuits. Kai, currently in preschool, is full of energy and curiosity about the world around him. Our youngest, Olive, requires special care due to her unique needs following a near-drowning incident that has left her quadriplegic and dependent on a ventilator.

In your role as an Au Pair with our family, you will have a dynamic range of responsibilities. This includes helping with the morning routines, driving the children to and from school, engaging in creative and educational activities with them, and managing light household duties. Your role will be particularly crucial in providing care and a nurturing environment for Olive.
We offer a compensation package that includes a monthly salary of $800, room and board, health insurance, annual salary increases, and the use of a vehicle for both child-related and personal errands. We are a Texas-based family seeking a compassionate and responsible Au Pair to join us and play a vital role in caring for our three children, including our special needs daughter, Olive. This long-term, 2-year position, starting in January 2024, offers not only a chance to be part of a nurturing family environment but also presents opportunities for professional growth and educational advancement.
The Au Pair's responsibilities will include supervising and engaging with our children (ages 8, 5, and 3), assisting with their morning routines, driving them to and from school, and managing afternoon and evening care. This includes activities such as storytelling, puzzles, and interactive games, along with help in homework and chore supervision. Light housekeeping duties like cooking, laundry, and cleanup after the kids is appreciated. Our eldest child, Scarlett, has a keen interest in dance, art, and music, and will need support in these areas as well as in her academic pursuits.
We are looking for someone who has a passion for working with children, preferably with childcare experience, a valid driver's license and a safe driving record, and preferably fluency in English. The ideal candidate should be a non-smoker and lead a responsible lifestyle.
The benefits of this position include a monthly compensation of $800 for a 45-hour workweek, room and board, annual raises, comprehensive health insurance, use of a vehicle for child-related and personal errands, and phone service.
