We are so excited to introduce ourselves and share a little bit about our family and what life with us would look like. We are a warm, thoughtful, and experienced host family living in the beautiful town of Los Gatos, California. Our family includes:
• Roksana (Mom): I’m a friendly and caring mom who loves spending time with my family, cooking, and exploring nature. I truly enjoy making our au pair feel at home, whether it’s by treating you to your favorite snacks or including you in our family traditions.
• Sergey (Dad): My husband Sergey is a supportive and logical person who values open communication and transparency. He is always ready to help and make sure our home feels welcoming and comfortable.
• Elizabeth (6 years old): Our eldest daughter is full of curiosity and energy. She loves reading, playing, and learning new things.
• Alyssa (3.5 years old): Alyssa is our sweet and imaginative little girl. She enjoys playful activities, stories, and spending time with her older sister.
• Our Pet Family: We also have a friendly dog and three lovely cats who bring even more warmth to our home. We hope you are a pet lover, as they are very much part of our family!

Our Home and Community:

We live in a beautiful and safe neighborhood with about 100 houses, surrounded by the picturesque Santa Cruz Mountains. Our community offers great amenities, including a community building, tennis courts, a basketball field, and a swimming pool. We are just a 30-minute drive from San Jose and an hour from the iconic city of San Francisco.

Nature lovers will find endless hiking trails right on our doorstep, and if you love exploring cities, you will have easy access to vibrant culture, events, and experiences.

Your Role in Our Family:

As our au pair, you will be an important part of our daily lives. Your responsibilities will include:
• Engaging with the Kids: Reading stories, playing educational games, and encouraging creative play.
• Helping with Routines: Assisting with getting the kids ready for school, managing their laundry, and keeping their play areas tidy.
• Cooking for the Kids: Preparing healthy and delicious meals and snacks.
• Supporting with Bedtime: Helping with evening routines, including calming activities and bedtime stories.
• Full-Time Care During Breaks: During school holidays or summer breaks, you may work full days, but we always ensure reasonable and well-communicated schedules.

We aim to create a balanced work-life experience for you, respecting your free time and offering independence.

• Transportation Support: While we do not require a driver, we provide weekly trips to San Jose or other nearby cities if you’d like to explore or meet with friends.
• Small Gestures of Care: Whether it’s a surprise treat, thoughtful support, or sharing family traditions, we love making our au pair feel valued and appreciated.

Au Pair Responsibilities:

Your role will involve helping us provide a nurturing, educational, and fun environment for our daughters. Specific duties include:

Childcare & Education:
• Reading & Educational Activities: Spend time reading with the children, promoting a love of books, and engaging in age-appropriate educational activities.
• Playing & Engagement: Lead creative and stimulating play, both indoors and outdoors, encouraging learning through play.
• School Preparation: Assist in getting the kids ready for school, including dressing, preparing backpacks, and supporting morning routines.

Daily Care & Household Tasks:
• Cooking for the Kids: Prepare simple, healthy meals and snacks that the kids will love.
• Laundry: Manage the children’s laundry, including washing, folding, and organizing their clothing.
• Cleaning & Organizing: Keep the children’s play areas tidy and encourage them to clean up after activities.

Routine Support:
• Establishing Consistency: Help with routines such as bedtime, including reading stories and creating a calm, comforting atmosphere.
• Supporting During Breaks: Provide full-day care during school holidays and summer breaks, organizing activities and outings as needed.
