About Our Family
- We are a loving, fun, and active family of four living in downtown Chicago! Our two baby girls (ages 1.5 & 3) are sweet, affectionate, and full of personality. They love dancing, books, music, and playing pretend, and they bring so much joy and energy into our home.
- Mom is home full-time and deeply involved in their daily routines, while Dad works a lot but loves spending time with the family whenever possible. We want our girls to feel loved, secure, and surrounded by warmth, structure, and fun. Routine is important to their happiness, and we’re looking for an au pair who can be a kind, positive, and healthy presence in their lives.

About the Role
We are looking for a kind, responsible, and easygoing au pair to help with structured night-time duties for our two little girls (ages 1.5 & 3). This role is perfect for a night owl who enjoys a set schedule with lots of free time during the day to explore the city, take classes, or relax.

Your main focus will be bedtime and morning routines to ensure a smooth transition between night and day. You will NOT be responsible for middle-of-the-night wake-ups—Mom handles that. We want our daughters to feel loved, secure, and surrounded by warmth, structure, and fun, and we’re looking for an au pair who can be a positive, caring presence in their lives.

Your Typical Schedule & Responsibilities
Evenings (9:00 PM – 12:00 AM)
- Assist with bedtime routines (changing into pajamas, brushing teeth, bedtime stories, winding down).
- Light tidying related to the children (putting away toys, loading their dishes into the dishwasher).
- Help create a calm, peaceful atmosphere before bedtime.
- Once the kids are asleep, you’re free to unwind until your shift ends.
Mornings (5:00 AM – 9:00 AM)
- Help with wake-up routines (changing clothes, brushing teeth, getting dressed).
- Serve breakfast and clean up afterward.
- Engage in light morning activities (reading, playtime, or getting ready for daycare).
- Mom takes over from 9 AM onward—you’re done for the day!
Important Notes:
- No middle-of-the-night wake-ups—Mom handles that!
- No additional daytime childcare—Mom is home full-time.
- No household chores beyond child-related tidying (no deep cleaning, laundry, or cooking).
Your daytime is completely free to enjoy!
