We are the Hussey family — Michael and Kejda, with our five daughters: Rosamund (13), Fleur (11), Eleanor (9), Adelaide (7), and Margot (1). Our home is lively, full of activity, and full of love. We live in beautiful Cape Elizabeth, Maine, across from the ocean and a state park, and just minutes from Portland’s restaurants, arts, and culture.
We are excited to welcome an Albanian-speaking au pair into our family. While our four older girls speak only English, we are raising Margot to speak Albanian first, and your presence will make a big difference in her language journey. Most of your time will be spent with her, giving her care, play, and attention. You’ll also occasionally help with our older daughters’ busy afterschool routines.
As a family, we love the outdoors, sports, theater, music, and traveling together. We value cultural exchange and see this as more than childcare — it’s a chance to share experiences, learn from one another, and build a lasting bond.

We are seeking a caring and responsible Albanian-speaking au pair to join our family in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. Your primary role will be caring for our youngest daughter, Margot, who is 1 year old. She is being raised to speak Albanian as her first language, so daily interaction in Albanian is especially important. You’ll focus on her care, play, and language development during afternoons and evenings.
You may occasionally assist with school pick-ups or drop-offs for our four older daughters (ages 7–13) and help with light household organization related to the children. Typical duties include preparing meals/snacks, playing outside, reading, arts and crafts, nap/bedtime routines, and teaching language through everyday interaction.
We offer:
30–35 hours per week, primarily afternoons and evenings.
