I hope this message finds you well. I’m so glad you are taking the time to learn a little more about our family.



My name is Tasha, and I am a single mother of three wonderful children. I work as a doula supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, and I am also currently in school working toward my nursing degree. My work is very meaningful to me, and so is creating a happy, nurturing home for my kids.



Although I have three children, my oldest does not live with me at the moment. At home, you will be caring for my two younger boys. They are incredibly kind, sweet, adventurous, and outgoing. They love building things, playing in the water, reading books, exploring nature, and learning about animals. We spend a lot of time outside whether it’s going to the beach, visiting festivals, or finding new places to explore.



Since we don’t have much family nearby, it’s very important to me that whoever joins our home feels like part of our family. We are a warm, happy little team, and I hope to find someone who wants to build a genuine bond with us, not just help with day-to-day tasks.



We are very excited to learn about your culture, your language, and your traditions, and to help you feel welcome and integrated into ours. It is important to me that you feel comfortable sharing who you are. I would also love for my boys to have the opportunity to hear and learn your native language and to grow up appreciating different cultures. Supporting their second language development is something I value deeply.

About Our Family

We are a loving family in Irvine, California, seeking a kind, active, and reliable au pair to care for our two elementary-aged boys. Both kids are full of energy, curiosity, and a love for play, so we are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with children, keeping them engaged, and helping them thrive.



Schedule & Hours

This is a Monday through Friday split-shift position:

Morning Shift: 6:00 AM – 8:30 AM

Prepare and serve breakfast

Help the boys get dressed and ready for the day

Pack school bags and ensure they have everything they need

Drive or walk them safely to school

Afternoon Shift: 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Pick up the boys from school

Prepare and serve afternoon snacks

Assist with any homework or school-related tasks

Transport the boys to after-school activities (sports, playdates, classes)

Plan and engage in active playtime, crafts, games, or outdoor adventures at home



Note: I am in the process of transitioning to a new job, so there may be occasional needs for Saturday hours in the future. If this happens, it would likely be just a few hours on Saturdays and with plenty of notice. For now, the position is strictly Monday through Friday.



Transportation

At this time, we do not have a dedicated vehicle exclusively for the au pair. However, you are welcome to use my car when I am home to take the boys to activities, appointments, or outings. To do so, you will need to have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. I am very happy to help you obtain a California driver’s license when you arrive.



Language & Culture

We value diversity and cultural exchange. I am especially excited about finding someone who can share their native language with my boys to help them learn a second language naturally in daily life. In turn, our family will also support you in improving your English skills. We see this as a wonderful opportunity for everyone to learn and grow together.

? Organized: You can manage the split schedule smoothly, keep track of the boys’ activities, and help maintain a calm, structured environment.



? A Safe Driver: You have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and are confident driving children.



? Health-Conscious: You value preparing healthy meals and snacks, and you understand the importance of limiting screen time in favor of active play and real-world learning.

Daily Responsibilities



Morning:

Start promptly by 6 AM

Greet the boys warmly and help them transition into the day

Prepare a healthy breakfast and pack Lunches

Supervise dressing, brushing teeth, and packing backpacks

Drop them off safely at school



Afternoon:

Pick up the boys from school on time

Prepare nutritious snacks and dinner

Help with any homework or reading

Share your native language during play and conversation

Drive them to scheduled activities or organize engaging play at home

Create a fun, active, and safe environment with little to no screen time
