Dear New Family,
I’d like to introduce myself, my name is David, I’m currently 21 yo and I was born in Caracas, Venezuela. I live with my mom and she was the one who raised me and helped me became the man I am today, she’s pretty much my rock, but like in every relationship between parents and their sons there comes a moment in life when it’s time for the kid to spread their wings, metaphorically speaking of course, so I think this new experience that I’m about to start will be the beginning of that, but before we continue with that note I’d like to tell you a bit more about myself.
I recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, also known as UCAB, in Caracas, Venezuela. I’ve always been interested about the United States culture, basically because ever since I was little I liked to watch movies and tv shows and in those not only the actors were characters but the cities itself were also part of the plot, cities like New York, Los Angeles, Texas, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Chicago and many more, so when I was little I used to say that I’d love to go to the United States to visit to those iconic places and let’s not forget about music because music had a major role as well, I mainly listened and listen to music in English because when I was little and I used to watch Disney Channel and watch shows I enjoyed a lot the music on there like in Hannah Montana, High School Musical, The Jonas Brothers, etc., so with all of that started my interest in learning English so I’d be able to know the lyrics and I pretty much taught myself through the years.
As I grew older, I started to have more experiences and new interests and I’m a huge fan of learning new things and this opportunity will be great for learning a lot about me, about others, about other cultures, about life itself, and this will help me to grow both professionally and as a person because it will not be only me starting my life as an adult but it will be me helping to guide another kid that’s only starting to learn what are the things that they like, It’s pretty much going to be like they’re gaining an “older brother” as I’m gaining a “younger sibling”. It may sound simple but I know it’s going to be a challenge, thankfully I’m a competitive person so I always try to do my best and I’m sure that even though there’s going to have its lows it will also have a lot of ups so I think is going to be a fun experience for all of us because who knows we may even become like a second family to each other and coming round in circle this kid that is introducing himself to you is what you consider to be the right fit for you so I hope you enjoyed my profile and we’ll be in contact soon.
