Hello families,
My name is Ellanor, I am 18-years-old, and I have just finished my A-Levels having studied; English Literature, Psychology, and Media Studies. I am currently living at home and earning money for my month inter-railing trip at the end of this summer. I have applied for university to study English and Film at the University of Sussex, in Brighton. I am unsure what I want to do with my life and so have deferred my space at uni until 2019, giving me a year to work and travel.
I love music, and have been playing the piano for 11 years. My other interests include: swimming, yoga, baking, cooking, modern culture, film, art, fashion, and reading. I am a big lover of animals and am comfortable being in the house with pets - I have a budgie called Koda whom I love very much.
For the last four years I have enjoyed working with the same family on a weekly basis, looking after the 4 children (now aged 8, 6, and the twins are 4) from after school to bed-time. I also do ad-hoc babysitting in the village for various families, and had a job at a Barnardo's youth club for young adults with special needs. I have had experience in the catering industry at big scale events, and with waitressing at local pubs.
As an au pair, I am looking to be part of a family as an older sister or cousin to the children I look after. I'd like to be city based and live in the house with the family, and I am happy to travel with the family if that is required. I would also like to learn the language of the country I am in, and would appreciate the support of the family to do this. I would probably fit best into a warm, creative, artistic, people-oriented family as I am creative, kind, loving, forgiving, fair, positive, spiritual, and open-minded by nature. I am fun-loving and practical, too, and am more than happy to get on with the necessities of daily life. I enjoy new experiences and meeting new people. I love kids company and love playing and talking with them - their take on the world enlightens me.
