My name is Fatimah, 24 years old and currently living and working as a
nurse in Kampala,Uganda. I would like to express my interest in becoming an Aupair in
your family. I am so passionate about children and it even grew bigger when my
lastborn sibling was born when I was 15 years old. Being the middle child and the only
girl for my parents, I became a second mother for him because both my parents work. I
spent most of the time with him. I was responsible for taking his Baths, Feeding,
teaching and Playing with him. He actually went through most childhood stages
throughout his developmental milestones with me and up to date, he is 9 years old and
he is still part of my life.
As a Klinical Officer, medical knowledge has taught me how children learn through play
and how a structured,loving and supportive environment helps them reach their full
potential. At my current level of education I specialised in clinical medicine and
community health which has given me an introduction to paediatrics care, responsibility
and a professional understanding of healthy habits and safety which I strongly believe is
vital when caring for children.
The Aupair program in Germany will be a great opportunity for me to learn the German
language and to be exposed to German culture. I want to learn more about how
German parents raise their children and help relate with it as I further progress in Early
childhood Development studies.
During my free time, I enjoy reading, site seeing and watching movies. I also enjoy
spending time with my nieces by reading stories,playing,drawing,shading,constructing
puzzles,doing class work which helps me build a bond and also teach them simple
health habits. I am an engaging and cheerful person and on top of that I love preparing
meals and simple baking since I learned my skills from my mother.
I am looking forward to joining your home for a year and sharing a bit of my culture with
you while learning the German language and culture as well. It will be great hearing
