Dear Host Family,
First of all, I would like to thank you for taking the time to read my letter. I
would like to describe some of my life including my wishes, my dreams, my
background, family, and friends.
My name is Guiveline , but my friends and family call me Guivy. I
am from Haiti., I live in the Dominican Republic, but Haiti is where I call
home. ; I m 24 years old, I have 9 biological brothers and sisters and 32 other brothers and sisters at the orphanage where I was raised. I have a very strong, loving relationship with all of them. Moreover, some of them
are my best friends. I am so grateful that I got the opportunity to be raised
in an orphanage, surrounded by a loving and caring group of people.,
The other kids and I lived like brothers and sisters, played together, sang, etc. the people I grew up with are the ones who make me who I am today.
I would describe myself as friendly, positive, open-minded, and very
energetic. I am interested in getting to know other people and making
friends, bringing love and happiness to those around me. I love music,
dancing, singing, languages, and communicating with others. I also play
guitar and enjoy playing. A few years ago, I worked as a music teacher for
a group of kids and I enjoyed every bit of it. Back at the orphanage, I
worked as a part-time babysitter I love spending time
with kids – singing and dancing together and teaching them new
languages. I have worked more than 200 hours with kids of different ages,
and they enjoyed the time I spent with them. I enjoyed it, too.
