Dear Host Family,
My name is Inés, and I am a Spanish 18-year-old student currently living in Madrid, where I study a double degree in Economics and International Relations. I am very excited about the opportunity to become an au pair, as it combines two things I truly enjoy: working with children and discovering new cultures.
Although this would be my first experience as an au pair, I have regularly taken care of children in my neighborhood, typically between the ages of 3 and 10. I enjoy spending time with them, whether that means playing games, organizing fun activities, or simply making sure they feel safe and comfortable, especially during evening babysitting. In addition, during the summer I provide tutoring support to two children (aged 8 and 12), helping them with their schoolwork and encouraging good study habits in a patient and supportive way.
I come from a large family with four siblings, and being the middle child has naturally taught me to be responsible, adaptable, and understanding. I am patient, caring, and attentive, but also energetic and creative when it comes to engaging with children. I always try to create a positive, safe, and fun environment where children can feel confident and happy.
One of my greatest strengths is my international background. I am Spanish, but I have been educated my entire life in French schools worldwide, which means I am equally fluent and comfortable speaking both Spanish and French. I also have a C1 level in English and I am currently learning Portuguese. Having lived in different countries, I am very open-minded and curious, and I truly enjoy discovering new cultures and ways of life. This is one of the main reasons why I would love to become part of your family.
I would be happy to help your children not only with daily routines, but also with languages, homework, and creative activities. I am responsible, trustworthy, and committed, and I would take my role in your family very seriously.
