Dear Host Family,

My name is Marta, I’m 26 years old and from Spain. I’m very excited about the possibility of joining your family as an au pair and contributing to a caring, safe, and fun environment for your children.

I consider myself a calm and quiet person in most situations, but once I feel comfortable with someone, I can be pretty talkative and open. I enjoy making jokes and teasing when appropriate, and I’m affectionate, showing care mainly through hugs. I value family connections and alone time, and I believe I'm kind-hearted.

Over the years, I’ve gained experience caring for children from infancy to early teens through various roles outside my family. This includes volunteering in a preschool where I helped with classroom activities, assisted during meals, and played educational games, as well as babysitting for neighbors and family friends. I enjoy making kids feel comfortable and teaching them new things.
In addition, I have experience caring for children from my family. Over the years I have wholeheartedly enjoyed spending time with my younger cousins, from infancy through adolescence, during weekends, school holidays, and some weekdays. I helped with stroller walks, meals, naps, games, creative activities, dancing, swimming, “airplane” play, storytelling, and general entertainment. I loved teaching them new words and helping them learn to walk, and I felt very happy when they succeeded. I also sometimes accompanied my aunt to pick them up from school or day care.

I am looking forward to becoming like another member of your family, supporting your children’s growth and being part of your daily life. This au pair experience is also a unique opportunity for me to immerse myself in American culture, improve my English, and share my own culture and language with your family. I hope to bring warmth, responsibility, and curiosity to your home, making our time together enjoyable and meaningful.
