My name is Odette, and I am 21 years old. I would love to take a moment to introduce myself and share a bit about my childcare experience.
I spent the past two years in America as an au pair for an amazing host family. During my time with them, I cared for three girls. When I first joined the family, the girls were 1, 3, and 5 years old. In my final year with them, they were 2, 5, and 7 years old. Being part of their daily lives and watching them grow has been an incredibly rewarding experience.
I worked approximately 45 hours a week, and at times even more when I chose to earn extra money. My responsibilities included taking the girls to and from school every day, which required careful planning as they each attended different schools. I was responsible for keeping their schedules organized and ensuring they arrived safely and on time.
In addition to childcare and school transport, I also prepared meals for the children. On Friday nights when the parents had date nights, I cooked dinner and cared for the girls in the evenings. During the week, I would also prepare dinner on certain evenings and help with their nightly routines.
I am responsible, patient, and caring, and I truly enjoy creating a safe, loving, and fun environment for children. My au pair experience helped me grow both personally and professionally, and it confirmed my passion for working with families and children.
