Hello! My name is Maya Lulu, (Lulu is my middle name but I am Lulu to all my family and friends) I was born and raised in the beautiful Cape Town South Africa, I was blessed to grow up in the sunny weather and lovely beaches of Southern Africa. I grew up with my brother and sister, in a close loving family. I am very grateful for my opportunities, as I had then honour of completing my high school education at the IEB school Reddam House, a top achieving school in Cape Town. I managed to make the first team girls, outdoor and indoor ,hockey team which I loved being a part of, as I really like being part of a team community, as well as getting outdoors and doing all sorts of activities.

As much as I adore my Cape Town life, with family and friends, I have an urge to step out my comfort zone and explore different cultures and countries. Ive always been fascinated with the idea of England, and have had my mind set to visiting the UK after school. From a young age, I always knew that I wanted to work with children when I grow up, I love spending time with them, and recently got the opportunity, in July 2024, to travel to Limerick, Ireland to work in a children's summer camp for a week. I had so much fun! I really enjoyed spending time with all the kids and planning the fun activities, it truly confirmed my passion to work with children, and will be back working in the summer camp in June/July 2025!

I also did a job shadowing on a preschool teacher, where I got to spend the day around children in a class environment, and help out for the day. I am my family and friends go to babysitter when they need a hand, and am always happy to help out.

I am currently finishing my last year of high school, and will write my final exams in November, ready to take off for a new chapter of my life in January 2026. I am also planning to receive my drivers license as soon as I turn 18 in December, currently I have my learners license... and am practising very hard !

I do have an Irish passport, no visa needed so makes things much easier for me!
