Dear Host family,

If you are looking for a best friend for your kids - Hello, my name is Ana! I am already very excited about getting to know you. But, first of all, let me tell you more about myself.

My full name is Anastasiia (A lot of letters, right?) But you can call me Ana :) I’m 23 y.o. and I live in Tula, Russia. I would describe myself as a reliable, charismatic and hilarious person, who tries to make the best out of every situation. I am currently living with my mother and my grandfather. We have a warm relationship and they are happy that I found this program. They are very excited that I will get an overseas experience! How is it to live with me? You won’t find a more undemanding person than me. I quickly get used to any daily routine and lifestyle, so you will most certainly have no problems with me. My dream is to travel around the world and to spread love, and I have found a marvelous opportunity to combine these two things. Having wide experience in child care, I can certainly say that I can’t be just a nanny for kids, I’m their best friend.

In 2020, I decided to help a friend of mine who was looking for a kindergarten teacher. It was a huge surprise for me that I found my life work by helping my friend back there! I worked in the kindergarten for 6 months in the groups of kids – from 4 to 5 years old and from 5 to 6 years old; and it was great! But soon I realized that I wanted to devote time to each of the 25 children, and therefore I decided to change my work area to a private nanny, so that I can devote all my attention to 1–2 kids! So, I have started working in two families – the first one has three kids: Artyom, 2 y.o.; Vlad 4 y.o.; and Danya, 11 y.o. In the second one, there are two kids: Ilya, 3 y.o.; and Max, 9 y.o. My responsibilities include babysitting both just for 1 hour and even for a couple of days! I really like to have fun with kids, but if a kid is in a bad mood, I will definitely listen to him or her and give some good advice. Kids for me are the main source of happiness, and I am very glad that I decided to help my friend 2 years ago and found my dream job. I believe that every kid needs to be heard. All of the kids have the right to express their emotions and feelings, which is why I am looking for a family with no more than three kids, so I can hear every child's wish and try to make it come true.

As soon as I got into this profession, I completed 1 year of training as a kindergarten teacher! This gave me a lot of information about the child psychology. I can say with confidence that I want to continue my studies at a higher level, perhaps even right after the au pair program! What will this experience give me? Foreign experience is very much appreciated in Russia, which is why my dream is to open a kindergarten in Russia with an emphasis on learning English some time after the program. The most important award for my work will be smiles on your kids’ faces and life experience that I will obtain in such a beautiful country, as the United States.

Unfortunately, I do not have a driver's license yet. However, I plan to arrive in the USA before the start of the program and get the license of the state you live in. It won’t be a problem for me since I already have some driving experience from the road tests in Russia! Perhaps the lack of the driver’s license is the only negative thing that you can see in me!
