Dear Future Host Family,
Allow me to introduce myself - my name is Anastasia, and I'm a 23-year-old student from a cozy Russian town situated in the southern Urals. I'm currently graduating from University, working towards my dream of becoming a foreign language teacher in both English and German.
Throughout my coursework, I've gained extensive experience working with children of all ages. From my English tutoring work with kids ranging from 7 to 15 years old and organizing children's activities for groups of 10-year-olds, to teaching English at a primary school in my hometown, I know that being a mentor and friend for children is my calling.
Teaching and working with children has always been a significant part of my life. Growing up as the second oldest of six children (including my elder sister, two younger brothers aged 4 and 8, and three cousins), I have had plenty of experience mentoring and leading younger ones. We often held performances and concerts for our parents and grandparents, which taught me valuable skills in organizing and managing events.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling within Russia or taking up some outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, and swimming. In the evening I love to enjoy a great book.
Music is also a central part of my life, and I cannot think of a moment without it. I can play the ukulele and piano and am a music school graduate (accordion).
I have already been an Au Pair in Germany in 2021-2022. It was the most exciting and rewarding experience of my life. Being an Au Pair is an excellent opportunity for me to become an integral part of a family, not just as a caregiver, but also as a friend and mentor.
