Dear Host Family,
thank you for taking the time to read my letter.
My name is Adelina, I’m 22 years old. I’m living with my mom and dad in Kazan, which is the third largest city in Russia. I’m a bachelor of humanitarian sciences and art.
In my spare time, I love dance, play chess and tennis (time to time). The last three summer holidays I helped at a kids summer tennis camp and was assigned to teach the youngest group of children the basics of tennis. In between the short exercise lessons I was responsible for entertaining the children and we had lots of fun playing hide and seek, doing face paintings, colouring ins and many more games.
Im into sports. All my free time devoted to dancing. Im a professional dancer. Now I dance in one of the best dance crew in Moscow. I can't imagine my life without gym, because it is feel so good after. I am a candidate for master of sports in chess, I play for the University team at the city championship. Furthermore, I work as a chess teacher, so I teach little kids and adult how to play chess. I also love reading, especially English novels. One of my favorite authors is Ken Follet and I can’t wait to have access to an English Library to browse through all the literature I like!
I would love to become your next Au Pair because I love children and enjoy spending time with them. I am prepared and I am well aware of the fact that being like a big sister for your children comes along with responsibilities for them and it will not always be just play and fun. My calm and patient personality will help me to master more difficult situations for instance when the kids are tired or don’t want to listen to me. I expect that in the first couple of days I will be exhausted at night because I guess taking care of children the whole time can be tiring. But I am sure that I will adapt to the new tasks and daily routine quickly and become a big help for you.
Living with me is really easy as I am not a demanding person. I do respect that the house is your house and that I have follow your house rules. If something works not quite as it should, I prefer to talk instead of ignoring things. I
love to travel so much, as much, as I love discover and learn something new every day. I’ve already been to Turkey, Egypt, Georgia, Bulgaria, Greece, Czech Republic, Germany, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, Great Britain and America. I also travel a lot in my home country, Russia. I have been to Altai, Caucasus, Kamchatka and the South of my country. In the summer of 2018, I was in America on the Work and Travel international exchange program, where I had English courses first, and then worked as server in a restaurant. It was an indescribable experience learning a new Culture and language at the same time. As a teenager I went on a language course to UK (London), where I lived with a host family for a few months. This was a great opportunity to get to know another family with new habits and also to meet new friends.
I think that my childcare, household experiences will make me a great Au-Pair in America. I really want to experience your daily American life and to learn more about your fascinating country. Hopefully, I ve aroused your curiously and we will talk soon.
