Hello, my name is Kasieleen, and I am 23 years old. I am applying as an au pair, and while I may not yet have formal overseas childcare experience, I bring strong, relevant experience working with children in structured, multicultural, and family-oriented settings.
For the past three years, I have worked as an ESL tutor, teaching international students of various ages through face-to-face classes. This experience helped me develop excellent communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to care for children with different personalities and learning styles in a safe and supportive environment.
I am also a broadcasting graduate and gained hands-on experience during my internship, where I worked closely with children aged five to seventeen in group settings. I guided them in creating news reports, writing scripts, and participating in TV-style programs. Through this experience, I developed strong leadership, creativity, and activity-planning skills while ensuring that learning remained fun and engaging.
In addition, during my college years, I actively volunteered in social work programs that primarily involved working with children. These activities included assisting in community programs, organizing child-centered activities, and supporting children in learning and creative environments. This experience strengthened my sense of responsibility, compassion, and commitment to child welfare.
I also come from a large family and have been involved in childcare from a young age. I have nine nephews and nieces, and as the youngest among five siblings, I am often trusted to look after them when their parents are unavailable. This has made me very familiar with daily childcare routines, safety awareness, patience, and responsibility.
