Introduction
I come from a large and loving family; I have 10 siblings and am the sixth child. Sadly, we experienced loss when my 12-year-old brother, who was a special child, passed away from bronchopneumonia in 2012. In 2020, our youngest brother, also a special child, passed away from the same illness. These experiences were painful, but they taught me resilience and the importance of cherishing life and moving forward with purpose and positivity.
My mother is the youngest among 10 siblings, and our extended family lives within a 3-mile radius of each other. We are very close-knit, and I often view my close friends as an extension of my family. I deeply value my relationships and choose to surround myself with loyal, fun, and supportive people.
I hold a Bachelor of Secondary Education degree from Leyte Normal University. I enjoy traveling, learning new languages, immersing myself in different cultures, and creating meaningful memories. My calm, patient, and quick-learning nature helps me adapt to challenging situations with ease.
As an au pair, my greatest strength is my ability to connect with children, bond with them, and serve as both a mentor and a big sister. I easily adapt to new environments, which helps me integrate well into a family. On the other hand, my greatest challenge as an au pair is that I can become emotionally attached to the children I care for, which makes it hard to say goodbye when the time comes.
I am looking for a host family that is kind, welcoming, and eager to share their culture while learning about mine. I hope to find a long-term placement for at least one year or more, depending on the connection we form.
Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the possibility of joining your family and creating wonderful memories together.
Warm regards,
Zyra
