I am Andrea, a 24-year-old Filipino, and I am very excited to become your au pair and be part of your beautiful family.
I graduated with a bachelor's degree in psychology from Arellano University-Manila. I gained valuable experiences during my internship as I was exposed to various settings such as recruitment, guidance services, and mental health institutions, which strengthened my communication, responsiveness, organizational skills, and patience.
I do not have piercings nor any tattoo in my body. I would describe myself as a warm, independent, responsible, adaptable, patient, understanding, a good listener, and people person. I love being with people, spending time, and getting to know them. Most of the people I know would describe me as a talkative, caring, lovable, and positive person. I enjoy the things that keep me going and learning something. I also love to sing, dance, cook, do sports or outdoor activities, and travel.
I have spent my time taking care of my nephew and, for some time, a few children from our neighborhood. I have experienced taking excellent care of my nephew since he has been living with me and my family. I am enjoying my time by talking, playing, and assisting the kids with the little to big tasks they do. I have learned through these experiences about being caring, responsible, and attentive to children’s needs.
Aside from childcare, I am also willing to learn from your family and the culture you have. I would like to be of help to your family in any ways I can be. I am a reliable person, so I am also willing to do light household tasks and other areas needed of help from me.
I believe that being in a cultural-exchange program or an au pair is not a job; it is a privilege, and it is an honor. It is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity where a person can meet new people, expand my language, adapt to new cultures and traditions, learn new lessons, and new ventures in life that will forever be cherished for the rest of one's life.
