Introduction

Hello! My name is Elly, and I am 25 years old from the Philippines. I’m applying for the position of Au Pair/Nanny because I have a genuine love for children and a deep desire to be part of a caring, welcoming family abroad. I’m a cheerful, responsible, and hardworking person who enjoys learning new things, exploring different cultures, and sharing my values and experiences with others.
I come from a loving family with my father, stepmother, and brother. Growing up in a simple but happy home taught me the importance of respect, understanding, and helping one another. Having a stepmom helped me learn how to love and accept people wholeheartedly. We accepted each other like real family, and that experience made me more open-minded, patient, and compassionate — qualities that I believe are important in becoming an au pair.
I am a Senior High School graduate, and I originally planned to study Criminology, with my second choice being Culinary Arts because I love cooking. Unfortunately, due to financial difficulties, I wasn’t able to continue my studies, so I decided to work and help support my family instead. This taught me independence, responsibility, and the value of hard work — lessons that continue to guide me every day.
In 2019, I worked as a nanny caring for two children — one was 10 years old and the other was a 10-month-old baby. My tasks included preparing their meals, washing the baby’s clothes, cleaning our room, and ensuring that both children were well cared for. When I had free time, I enjoyed watching movies with them and preparing snacks. I always made sure they had food whenever they were hungry. It was a rewarding experience that helped me develop patience, attention to detail, and genuine love for childcare.
Aside from that, I also have experience caring for a special child. I believe that special children need extra love, time, and full attention — something I was happy to give. I also cared for my elderly grandfather, preparing his food and medicines, and ensuring he ate and took his medicine on time. Although I don’t have a professional license, my experiences in caregiving have given me valuable skills and confidence. I would honestly rate myself a 10 out of 10 in dedication and compassion. My previous employer even reached out again to ask me to take care of her babies, but at that time, I needed to focus on my current job.
In my free time, I enjoy doing art — drawing, calligraphy, and creating DIY projects. I also love designing my room, watching cooking series, and experimenting with new snacks or dishes. When I turned 20, I started exercising regularly to stay physically fit while still enjoying good food. These hobbies keep me creative, active, and balanced.
When it comes to my personality, I’m a friendly, lovable, cheerful, and kind person. I love children and always find joy in making them laugh or feel cared for. I enjoy cooking and doing household tasks — keeping everything neat and organized. One of my best traits is that I never want to see anyone left behind. I’m always willing to help and make others feel supported, whether they’re family, friends, or children I care for.
My main language is Filipino, but since I have experience working in the BPO industry, I can speak and understand English well. I enjoy improving my English skills because it’s the global language that allows us to connect and understand people from all over the world.
My motivation for becoming an au pair is my family and my dream to explore new opportunities. They inspire me to work hard and stay positive. I want to make them proud by becoming successful and by sharing the love and care they’ve taught me with another family. Being an au pair is not just a job for me — it’s a meaningful opportunity to learn, grow, and create beautiful memories while giving my best to the family I’ll serve.
As an au pair, my expectation is to find a kind and respectful host family who will treat me as part of their home. I hope to build a good relationship based on trust, respect, and open communication. I’m eager to learn about your culture, traditions, and language while sharing my own Filipino values of warmth, kindness, and strong family ties. Most of all, I want to help care for your children, support your household, and create a loving environment where everyone feels safe and happy.
To describe myself simply — I’m someone who gives my heart in everything I do. Whether it’s taking care of children, helping at home, or supporting my family, I always do my best with love, patience, and sincerity. I believe these qualities will help me become a great au pair and a positive addition to your family.
Thank you for taking the time to read my introduction. I truly hope you can visit my profile to know more about me, and I would be very happy to answer any questions you may have. I’m looking forward to the possibility of joining your family and creating wonderful experiences together!
