Dear Future Host Family,
My name is "Shie" short for Shiela Mae, a 24-year-old aspirant Au pair from the beautiful Philippines.
I’m a college graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Office Administration and has a 4-year experience in corporate world.
I've had great experiences when it comes to childcare as I am a big sister and the eldest among my 4 siblings. During my spare time, I spend it babysitting my youngest , Yza and my nephew, Zion. I love taking care of them cause kids are fun to be with and I also found myself satisfied and productive after being with them.
When it comes to my surroundings specifically at home, I'm not used to it looking untidy, so it's innate for me to like doing household chores as part of my daily routine. You can count on me for most daily housework—cleaning, tidying, dishwashing, laundry, and vacuuming. I can cook and prepare simple meals for the kids, help and assist them in the morning, talk about their schooling, share my passion in singing and dancing with them if you let me to.
Aside from the things mentioned above, personally, I spend my time reading self-help books every day. I'm a foodie, so I sometimes cook simple meals. I like to go out for a walk, observing people and nature and regularly do some exercises to maintain a healthy and sound physical health. I am a very patient, organized, flexible, proactive and open-minded person. I value a genuine connection and good communication in relationships, which means being honest no matter what the situation is.
As a young adult, I'm at the stage where I'm aiming for growth and eager to explore. One of my dreams is to travel and have the opportunity to live in, learn about, and experience the cultures firsthand. I want to make a positive impact on my host family by letting them experience the loving and caring Filipino culture. And that becoming an Au pair is one of those great opportunities that I know I'm a good fit for.
