Hej! future Host Family! I am Krystal Faith, but you can just call me Faith, as that’s what my family calls me. I’m 23 years old from the Pearl of the Orient Seas, better known as the Philippines ??. I graduated with a Bachelor of Elementary Education degree. I have experience teaching grade-school pupils aged 5 to 12 years old, both in private and public schools. Before that, I tutored preschool children from remote areas, providing them with enrichment activities through PROJECT TEACHER ????. I know how to handle a child during tantrums by letting them express their emotions, understanding where those feelings come from, and offering support.

If you have pets at home, that’s a big plus for me because I love dogs ? and cats ?. We have pets at home too, and I’m usually the one who bathes them. I’m also comfortable with light household chores like vacuuming, ironing, washing dishes, and doing laundry. My mom taught me these tasks when I was young and I still do it here at home to this day. I even learned to hand wash my own clothes when I was in grade 4. As for cooking, I know how to prepare simple meals, mostly learned by watching YouTube ???.

I am eager to become an au pair because it offers a wonderful opportunity for cultural exchange. I look forward to sharing one of the most famous Filipino dishes, Adobo, with my host family. Adobo is traditionally recognized as the native dish of the Philippines ?. Beyond sharing my culture, I am passionate about traveling and exploring new places ??, which makes this experience even more exciting for me, as I have dreamed of living abroad since I was a kid. Becoming an au pair will allow me to immerse myself in a different culture while also introducing others to the rich traditions and cultures of my homeland.
