Dear Host Family,

My name is Jessa Mae, a 26-year-old licensed teacher from the Philippines. I hold a Bachelor of Secondary Education, and I’m currently teaching both high school and college students part-time. I specialize in Language and History subjects and have experience as a tutor for early education learners.

I have also tutored children aged 5 to 12 years old, helping them with reading, writing, and basic subjects. This hands-on experience taught me how to engage younger children through patience, creativity, and play-based learning.

What makes me special is my deep passion for child development. Though I’ve taught older students, I’ve always been drawn to working with young children. I’m caring, responsible, and naturally nurturing. I find joy in encouraging a child's learning through fun activities like reading stories, doing crafts (I love origami!), baking together, and writing simple poems with them.

In addition to my degree, I’ve attended child psychology seminars and classroom management training, which have given me greater insight into children’s emotional and behavioral needs.

I enjoy quiet hobbies like reading, writing, baking, and arts & crafts, which I believe are valuable in building calm and engaging moments with children. I don’t smoke, and I live a simple and respectful lifestyle.

I have no tattoos or piercings, and I’m in good health. I’m also open to helping with light household chores and always ready to adapt to your family’s way of life and house rules.
