Dear Host Family,

I hope that everyone in your family is well and safe.

I am Diane, a 25 years old aspiring Au Pair from the Philippines (Baler, Aurora). I had 6 years experience when it comes to child care. I am a very patient, organized, flexible, and open minded person. 

I am currently looking for a host family. I am writing this to express my interest in the Au Pair position, I believe it would be a great fit for this position and would love the opportunity to discuss it with you further. I love children, travel, camping and music. Being an Au Pair is a privilege that allows me to travel, meet new friends, experience a different culture, learn new things and we have the opportunity to exchange our knowledge about our own countries. Filipinos are known for being loving, cheerful, caring, responsible, reliable and respectful. When we come together we treat you as our own family. 

I am comfortable taking care of children because since I am  only 15 years old I have experience in child care. I took care of my cousin from birth until I was 7 months old. I bathed, fed, changed diapers, and brought to doctor's appointments where I had experience in babysitting.  I also visit and take care of my nieces and nephews sometimes.

I also took care of my youngest brother from birth until he was seven years old. I teach him to speak , we go to the park to play with him,  swim in the river and beach, I bring him to school and go to his school activities and graduation ceremonies. I love taking care of kids and teaching them something that can benefit their growth.

I want to share my experiences and my household chores with you.
Washing dishes, cooking (Filipino food), packing lunches, sweeping the kitchen eating area and mopping floors, taking out the trash, making the bed, dusting shelves and window sills, cleaning the bathrooms, scrubbing all sinks, drains and faucets, changing out hand and kitchen towels, changing out bedding, doing laundry, grocery shopping, rolling out the garbage and recycling bins, cleaning all windows and mirrors, cleaning out the refrigerator, tossing out expired pantry food, cleaning the walls, and organizing the closets.

Those are just some of the household chores I have learned from my loving and caring mother.
