Introduction
My name is Ellaysa, but you can call me El. I’m from Quezon City, Philippines, and I’m excited to introduce myself as a potential au pair for your family. I’m a warm-hearted, responsible, and positive person who genuinely enjoys spending time with children and learning about new cultures.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Gardner College Diliman. During my studies, I developed strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills—qualities that I believe will help me adapt well to new environments and responsibilities as an au pair.
Growing up in a close-knit Filipino family taught me the values of respect, kindness, and helpfulness. I’ve always been surrounded by children since I have younger cousins and neighbors I often help take care of. From assisting with their homework to organizing games and simple arts and crafts, I’ve learned how to be patient and creative in keeping children engaged and happy. These experiences made me realize how much joy I find in childcare.
Aside from my love for kids, I also enjoy cooking Filipino dishes, listening to music, and spending time outdoors. I like exploring new places, trying different cuisines, and meeting people from diverse backgrounds. I’m also interested in learning languages because I believe communication is a beautiful bridge between cultures.
I wish to become an au pair because it’s not only an opportunity to travel and experience life abroad but also a chance to immerse myself in another family’s way of living. I want to learn new traditions, exchange cultures, and gain a deeper understanding of daily life in another country. Most importantly, I want to contribute to your family by helping with childcare, assisting in light household tasks, and providing a positive, supportive presence for your children.
As an au pair, I see myself not just as a helper but as a big sister figure who can create a safe, fun, and nurturing environment. I’m confident in my ability to adapt to routines, follow family rules, and be flexible in adjusting to your needs. I’m also responsible when it comes to safety and time management, and I take my commitments seriously.
In terms of personality, I’m cheerful, patient, and calm even in stressful situations. I believe that understanding, communication, and mutual respect are the keys to building a good relationship between an au pair and a host family. I am open-minded, always willing to learn, and respectful of other people’s values and lifestyles.
My future goals include improving my language skills, expanding my worldview, and building independence and confidence while being part of a family that values cultural exchange. I believe that through this program, I will not only grow as a person but also create lasting bonds that go beyond the duration of my stay.
To give you an idea of my hobbies and interests, I enjoy:
Cooking and baking, especially trying new recipes.
Arts and crafts, which I find fun to do with kids.
Music and singing, because it brings joy and energy to the home.
Volunteering and community events, where I can help others and make meaningful connections.
Outdoor activities, such as walking, biking, or playing games with children.
I’m confident that my caring personality, sense of responsibility, and enthusiasm for cultural exchange make me a great fit for your family. I am eager to share my culture and Filipino warmth with you, while also learning and growing in your environment.
Thank you for taking the time to read my introduction. I would be very happy to tell you more about myself and answer any questions you might have during an interview. I truly hope that we can connect and start a meaningful journey together as an au pair and host family.
I’m looking forward to becoming part of your family and creating beautiful memories together.
Warm regards,
Ellaysa
