Dear Host Family,
Hi! I’m Smile, and I’m from the Philippines. I’m 23 years old with almost 2 years of hospital experience in Maternal and Newborn care. Focusing on my childcare experiences, my role at the NICU was to be involve in their daily routine such as bathing, changing dress, feeding, putting them to sleep, monitor their vital signs and report to the in-charge Nurse if ang issues arise.
I have 3 nieces and 2 nephew ages 4-14 years old. Two of my nieces are with us (I’m living with my Mom and Auntie). I’m helping my Mom taking care of them. I’m helping them with their daily routine, behavior and in making school assignments.
During my free time, I usually spend it by cleaning the house, going outside with my Mom, playing with my dog and sometimes watching movies online.
I’m responsible, flexible, calm and organize kind of person. I want to become an au pair because I enjoy taking care of children and love contributing to their growth and development. Also, I want to experience living with people with different nationalities and different cultures. I believe this program will help me in my personal and professional growth.
