My name is JM, and I am a registered Social Worker from the Philippines. I have valuable experience working with children of different ages, from infants to teenagers, and I genuinely enjoy supporting their growth, learning, and well-being.
During my college internship, I was assigned to a child-caring institution where I spent time observing and understanding children's behavior to help address their needs. I also assisted caregivers in providing daily care and support to the children. This experience helped me develop patience, empathy, and strong communication skills when working with young people.
In addition, I previously worked as a Social Worker for a non-governmental organization in the Philippines, where our main clients were children, youth, and their families. Through this role, I gained experience supporting children's development and working closely with families from different backgrounds.
Beyond my professional experience, I am also the eldest sister in my family, which has taught me responsibility and the importance of caring for others. Growing up, I helped look after my younger brothers and supported them in their daily activities.
In my free time, I enjoy going to the beach, cooking for my family, and learning new recipes. I am also interested in baking pastries and cookies and would love to learn more about it. I am excited about the opportunity to become part of a host family, share my culture, learn about yours, and create meaningful memories together.
