My name is Kennezekiel Q. Pesigan, and I am currently a Bachelor of Science in Psychology student from the Philippines. I am a dedicated, compassionate, and hardworking individual with a strong background in healthcare training and patient support. I am writing to express my sincere interest in becoming your Au Pair and caregiver for childcare.
Although I have not yet worked as an Au Pair abroad, I have gained valuable experience in caregiving through my healthcare training and internships. I completed 786 hours of healthcare training, where I developed essential caregiving skills such as assisting with daily activities, ensuring patient comfort, maintaining hygiene, and following proper infection control procedures.
I also had hands-on experience during my hospital immersion and internship, where I was assigned to different departments including the Nurse Station, Pulmonary Unit, Emergency Room, Hemodialydid Unit and Dietary Department. In these roles, I assisted patients with their daily needs, helped improve their comfort, and supported healthcare professionals in delivering safe and quality care. These experiences allowed me to work closely with individuals who require patience, empathy, and consistent attention—skills that are very important in caring for the elderly.
In addition, I earned certifications in Caregiving NC II and Healthcare Services NC II, and completed Basic Life Support training. I have also taken several continuing medical education courses from Stanford University of Medicine, which helped me expand my knowledge in patient care, communication, and clinical awareness. My academic background in psychology further helps me understand emotional and mental needs, which is especially important when caring for individuals who may experience loneliness or health challenges.
I would like to become an Au Pair and caregiver abroad because I see it as a meaningful opportunity to combine my passion for caregiving with cultural exchange and personal growth. Caring for children gives me a strong sense of purpose, as I believe that providing support, companionship, and respect can greatly improve their quality of life. At the same time, I am eager to experience a new culture, learn from my host family, and grow both personally and professionally.
