Dear Host Family,

My name is Sumitra, and I am 22 years old from Nepal. I am very happy to introduce myself and express my interest in becoming your Au Pair.

I enjoy spending time with children and supporting their growth. For eight years, I lived and studied in a school hostel, where I often helped take care of younger children, some as young as five years old. Through this experience, I learned to be responsible, independent, and patient from an early age.

In addition, I have taken care of my younger cousins and supported my sisters in caring for their children. I have experience with children between the ages of 2 and 10 years old. I helped them with homework, prepared simple meals, played creative and educational games, and assisted them with their daily routines such as getting ready for school and bedtime. These experiences helped me understand children’s needs and how to support them with kindness and consistency.

I would describe myself as honest, patient, open-minded, and adaptable. I enjoy activities like, storytelling, and reading with children. I also like outdoor activities such as walking, playing games, and spending time in nature. I stay calm in challenging situations and always try to solve problems with understanding and care.

I have completed German language level A2 and I am currently studying at B1 level. I am highly motivated to improve my German skills and learn more about German culture. I believe living with a host family is the best way to experience cultural exchange and build meaningful connections.

I am happy to help with light household tasks such as tidying up, preparing simple meals, or organizing children’s belongings. I am responsible and committed to supporting your family in daily life.

In the future, I plan to continue my education in Germany, and becoming an Au Pair will help me better understand the culture and improve my language skills. Most importantly, I want to be a caring and trustworthy big sister figure for your children.
