Hello family
My name is Dibya Nepal. I am 26 years old and I live with my parents in Kathmandu, Nepal. One fun fact is my surname and country name is same which is Nepal. I come from a kind and close family. At home, we all help each other with daily tasks. I also help take care of my parents and do housework like cooking, cleaning, and laundry. Because of this, I am responsible, helpful, and comfortable with family life.

I have both personal and professional experience with children. When my niece was only 3 months old, her mother sadly passed away. Since then, I have helped raise her with love and care. Now she is 6 years old and doing very well in school. Taking care of her has taught me patience, love, and how to support a child’s growth.

I also volunteered as a preschool teacher in a Waldorf-inspired school. This kind of school uses creative and natural ways to teach children. I enjoyed telling stories, singing songs, doing art, and helping children learn and grow. I have references from my work , and I am also a certified trainee from GreatAuPair agency.

Currently I run my own small business as a fiber artist. I make yarn art, including crochet, chunky knitting, tapestry, and weaving. It started as a hobby, but now it is a big part of my life. I enjoy working with my hands and creating beautiful handmade items.

In my free time, I love gardening and planting flowers or vegetables. I enjoy reading books one of my favorite novels is Northern Lights by Phillip Pullman . Every year, I go trekking and hiking in the Himalayan mountains, which is one of my favorite things to do. I am learning swimming these days.

My mother tongue is Nepali. I can English and Hindi intermediate-fluently. I can have normal conversations in German language aswell and I am currently learning French on Duolingo. I enjoy learning different languages and cultures.

As someone from a developing country, I see the au pair program as a valuable opportunity. My long-term goal is to establish a well-equipped childcare center in Nepal. I believe that by gaining knowledge from different cultures and experiences, I will be better equipped to bring valuable insights back to my home country and contribute to the development of child care there.

I am eager to find a host family where I can contribute positively while learning and adapting to a new environment. I am flexible, open to new languages, and enjoy cooking and trying new dishes. I look forward to the chance to bring my childcare skills and enthusiasm into your home.
