Introduction
I consider myself a calm, responsible, and patient person, with a strong curiosity to learn about the world around me. Over the past few years, I studied Biology at university up to the fourth semester, an experience that strengthened my interest in learning, observation, and understanding different perspectives and realities. I have currently decided to take a temporary break from university, which allows me to dedicate this time to living an enriching experience abroad.
One of my biggest motivations for becoming an Au Pair is the opportunity to experience another culture from within a family. I am very interested in learning about new ways of life, traditions, and perspectives, while also improving my personal skills and gaining experiences that will help me grow both personally and professionally. I believe that living with a local family is one of the most authentic ways to achieve this.
Although I have not been an Au Pair before, I do have significant experience caring for children in my city, where I worked as a nanny five days a week for approximately nine hours a day. During this time, I had the opportunity to care for children of different ages, from babies just a few months old to children around eight years old, which allowed me to adapt to the needs and dynamics of different stages of child development.
This experience taught me the importance of patience, empathy, and constant attention when working with children. I learned to understand and respect each child’s individual routines, their preferences, their way of communicating, and the emotional and physical needs that can arise throughout the day. In addition to daily care, I tried to accompany them in activities that supported their learning and development, such as creative games, reading, bathing the children, changing and washing diapers, doing the laundry for the children's belongings, keeping their playing areas tidy, helping with homework, and activities that encouraged curiosity and independence. I also believe it is very important to help children develop social skills, teaching them to interact respectfully with adults and other children, and supporting them in building confidence while gradually strengthening their independence in a safe way.
On a personal level, I enjoy activities that encourage creativity and learning. Among my interests and hobbies are reading and writing, which allow me to reflect and develop my imagination. I also enjoy drawing and painting, as I believe artistic activities are a wonderful way to express ideas and emotions, and they can also be very fun to share with children. Another activity I enjoy is listening to music and spending time outdoors. I like walking, being in contact with nature, and doing activities outside the home, which I believe is also essential for children’s well-being and development.
I also know how to cook and enjoy preparing meals, so I would be happy to help with almost any kind of meal for the children or assist with some kitchen-related household tasks.
In addition, I am an organized, respectful, and committed person, especially when it comes to the care and well-being of children. I would make an effort to integrate positively into your family’s daily life, to be a reliable support for you, and a kind, patient, and attentive presence for your children.
For me, being an Au Pair is not only an opportunity to travel, but a cultural and human exchange experience that I deeply value. After completing my stay as an Au Pair, I would like to continue my academic path and return to my university studies, bringing with me everything I have learned from this international experience.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read me. I hope to have the opportunity to meet you soon and share this experience with your family.
