HELLO!
First of all, thank you for taking the time to read my letter: My name is María Paulina and I am currently 23 years old. I have been an Educator since I was 17 years old and it is definitely what I like the most in my life.
I was born in the state of Jalisco, Mexico on May 18th, 1999, in a small town called Belén del Refugio, where I was born, grew up and lived until I turned 18 years old. I moved to Aguascalientes, Ags., Mexico when I was 18 to study College and it is the place where I currently live.
I studied English Language Teaching with a specialty in teaching preschool and
elementary school children at "Universidad Tecnólogica el
Retoño" in the state of Aguascalientes.
I graduated in December 2020 and since then I have dedicated myself to practicing.
I learned to love children when I was forced to take care of my newborn brother, when I did it well and I enjoyed every second. My parents: Refugio Fabían Prieto Martínez (46) and Rosa María García Tavarez (49), my brothers: Faviola Alejandra Prieto García (26), Miguel Angel (17) and Alexis Isael (6) were the reason why I took care of this last, was possible when I was just 17.
Being in charge of my little brother and other children allowed me to develop many skills: driving, going to the supermarket, making smart purchases, first aid, ease and fluency when speaking and dealing with doctors, directors or assistants. Skills that I keep and are an important part of who I am now.
Acquiring more experience caring for children, living with children from other cultures, with other habits, manners and customs and improving my English level are the main reasons why I want to an Au Pair: My profession is based on teaching English language to pre-school and primary school children, so I am sure Au Pair is my best option to grow as a person and as an educator.
Upon achieving the goal and returning to my country, I plan to do a Master's Degree in Infant Psychology: I would love to be able to do it in another country as well.
I sincerely hope to be able to achieve all these short and long term plans and to hear from you: family that is reading me, very soon!
