Hello! My name is Nelly Moraa, I’m 23 years old, and I come from Kenya. I’m a caring, responsible, and open-minded person with a big heart for children and a strong desire to explore the world through meaningful experiences. Becoming an au pair has been one of my biggest dreams because it combines two things I love most — taking care of kids and learning about new cultures.

I grew up in a close-knit family as the eldest sister to three younger siblings, which means I’ve had years of hands-on experience with childcare. From helping with homework and bedtime routines to preparing meals and organizing fun activities, I’ve always enjoyed being a guiding and supportive presence in their lives. My experience as a babysitter has also deepened my sense of responsibility and patience, teaching me how to create a warm, structured, and positive environment for children of different ages.

I believe every child is unique, and as a caregiver, I try to encourage their individuality while helping them grow with kindness and confidence. I enjoy turning simple moments into opportunities for fun and learning — whether it’s through storytelling, crafts, outdoor play, or cooking together. I also love seeing the world through their eyes; children have such a wonderful way of reminding us to be curious, creative, and full of life.

Outside of childcare, I have a variety of interests that I’d be excited to share with my future host family. I enjoy cooking, especially trying out new recipes from different countries. I love music and often listen to a mix of African, pop, and acoustic sounds that lift my mood. I also enjoy traveling and exploring nature, whether it’s hiking, sightseeing, or simply taking peaceful walks. I find joy in simple things — laughter, connection, and spending time with people who bring positive energy.

As an au pair, my goal is to become a trusted part of your family, not just someone who helps with daily routines. I hope to be a dependable big sister to your children — someone they can laugh with, learn from, and feel comfortable around. At the same time, I want to immerse myself in your country’s culture, learn your language, and share my own Kenyan traditions and stories with you. Cultural exchange is one of the most beautiful things about being an au pair, and I can’t wait to experience that with my host family.

I would describe myself as cheerful, adaptable, and always willing to help where needed. I value honesty, communication, and respect in any relationship, and I believe those qualities are key to building a happy and harmonious home.
