I have looked after children before—my younger sibling and cousins—and I have learnt to coordinate their schedules smoothly, while also providing fun and creative activities to keep them occupied and active. This also meant keeping the house tidy, the bedrooms and play areas, keeping them organised after the kids used them.
I am native-level fluent in English. My native language is Swahili, and I have an A1 level in German. Recently, I also started learning basic French as I am fascinated by languages. I am currently studying to be a teacher and this gap year with children would give me the feel of being around children while also learning a new culture and language firsthand. I can also swim and cycle comfortably.
