Warm message to my future host family!

My name is Mariyam and I am 22 years old. Last year I graduated from Tomsk State University and received a bachelor's degree in agricultural science. I’m from the cultural capital of Kazakhstan - Almaty. Now I live in Talgar town, which is close to Almaty.

Since childhood I have looked after my little sister, she is everything to me. Now she is 16 years old and already thinking about the choice of university and I am glad that at every stage I was there for her. As a child I loved to invent different games, activities, taught my little sister to dance and draw, because I like to get sincere emotions. And from that moment on I love children very much. From that moment on I like work with children. For now, I have over 2,400 hours of work with children ranging in age from 1.5 to 11 years old. All children were different personalities and different from each other. Some of them were affectionate, demanding a lot of attention, and others were very energetic, curious, impatient, and active.

As a teenager, I took care of two sons of my mother’s friend, when she was absent. I played with them, bathed them, cooked their meals, got them involved in cooking, and tried to make it fun. Also, during my university years, I was a tutor for eight-year-old Irina, which was a very interesting experience for me. I watched Irina improve her math and was glad to see that she was doing well over time. Now I look after little Kausar, who recently turned 3 years old. I treasure every moment spent with her, I was there when she took her first steps and when she spoke for the first time. Time spent with children is an unforgettable experience for me.

My love for children is what inspired me to participate in this Au Pair program. I would like to share my experience with children and learn about American culture from the inside. The Au Pair job requires a lot of responsibility and I want to try myself in this program as I have the qualities that a future Au Pair candidate should have.

I am friendly, hard-working, cheerful person. I am easy to make new acquaintances with people, being shy is not about me. I like to be in motion and learn a lot of new things. In my free time I like to dance, read books, cook, do stretching and I also like to walk in the fresh air. I can energize you and your children with positive energy, as well as teach children to dance, bake different cakes, help to learn a new language. I will be a good friend for your children and a great helper for you.
