Introduction
I have always believed that hard work can turn dreams into reality. My favorite quote says, “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayers. Believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” This message reminds me to stay hopeful and never give up, even when life gets difficult.
Another big part of my life is reading. The first novel I ever read was Negeri 5 Menara, a story about courage, dreams, and exploring the world. The book taught me that “the best among you are those who bring the most benefit to others.” This has become one of my life principles — to be useful and kind wherever I go. I also learned the beauty of “merantau,” or going abroad to grow and gain new experiences.
During university, I worked as a biochemistry lab assistant, which helped me become more organized, careful, and responsible. I guided students during practical sessions and helped ensure their work followed correct procedures. I also learned to communicate clearly, stay calm under pressure, and support others — qualities that are very useful when taking care of children or managing daily household tasks.
I consider myself a hardworking and motivated person who values kindness, respect, and trust. I enjoy spending time with children, helping them learn and grow, and creating a warm environment full of laughter and curiosity. I love arts and crafts, outdoor activities, reading stories, and sharing my culture — especially Indonesian songs, food, and traditions.
Becoming an au pair is a dream for me because it combines everything I value: family, cultural exchange, and personal growth. I want to learn a new language, experience life abroad, and build meaningful connections with my future host family. I believe that being part of your family will help me learn more about myself while also sharing the warmth and hospitality of Indonesia with you.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read my introduction. I truly hope to become a part of your family, to care for your children with love and patience, and to make unforgettable memories together.
Warm regards,
Lissa (Nailus)
