My name is Shekinah, I am 19 years old and I come from Indonesia. I would describe myself as a responsible, warm-hearted and emotionally mature young woman who truly values family life. Becoming an Au Pair in Germany is a meaningful step for me not only to improve my German language skills, sondern auch um neue Kultur kennenzulernen und Teil einer liebevollen Familie zu werden.
For me, being an Au Pair is about more than helping in the household. It is about trust, respect and becoming a positive presence in your children’s everyday life. I would love to become a supportive big sister (eine große Schwester) and someone your children can feel comfortable with, laugh with, and rely on.
In my free time, I enjoy sports and staying active because it helps me stay energetic and balanced. I also love music and singing, which I believe can create joyful and comforting moments at home. Additionally, cooking and baking are great passions of mine. I enjoy preparing homemade meals and would be happy to share Indonesian dishes such as rendang, bakso, soto ayam, and papeda, as well as desserts like brownies, banana cupcakes, donuts, kastengel and traditional sweets. I believe cooking together can be a beautiful bonding activity for the family.
