My name is Faya, a twenty-four year old fresh-graduated student from Indonesia. I have two older sisters, and I am still living with my parents. I'm a Muslim, so I'd prefer to eat Halal foods (no pork, no lard, and no alcohol). Currently, I'm looking for a job, but unfortunately I feel a bit of quarter-life crisis that makes me questioning about my future. About what I want to do with my life after graduate. I have so many things in mind, but at the same time, it seems like I don't even know anything despite already got a degree in something that I thought I wanted.

Au Pair program is one of the things that I have heard for quite a while. In fact, a few years before I graduate, I wanted to do this, Au Pair. Not only it gives a chance to people who wants to learn about one's culture and language, but it also gives a chance for them to gain new experiences and new opportunities beyond that. Therefore, I think it's best to say that, this program is one of the choices I can try to gain experience and opportunity rather than overthinking or being in a limbo state about my future. Just like Nike said, just do it.

In return of being an Au Pair, I can help to take care of the host's child(ren), or doing simple house keeping tasks (like dusting, sweeping, vacuuming) at their home. If your kids like to do arts and craft, especially drawing, I can help and guide them too! (since I love drawing). And, I can teach some simple English too (I'm not a BA in Education but in English Literature, focusing on translation), if needed.

I believe I am a good fit for this position because of a combination of my experience in taking care of children, and a genuine enthusiasm for cultural exchange. For over three years, I have been helping my sister to take care of her children (my niece and nephew) while she's away for work, which has helped me to develop patience, responsibility, problem-solving skills, and the ability to connect with kids in a warm and supportive way.

At the same time, I am someone who loves learning and experiencing new things. I enjoy learning languages, exploring different cultures, reading books/comic books, especially manga, and drawing with my pencil or pen. So, becoming an Au Pair is a perfect opportunity for me to grow as a person while also supporting a family. I am excited, and thrilled, to step out of my comfort zone and build a safe, caring, and positive environment for the children and host family.
