Introduction
My name is Zahra, I am 22 years old, and I come from Indonesia. I’m a kind, responsible, and open-minded person who loves learning about new cultures and caring for children.
Since I was young, I’ve always enjoyed spending time with kids. One of my closest experiences has been helping my sister raise her daughter. From the moment my niece was born, I’ve taken an active role in caring for her because my sister works full time, and coincidentally I'm studying online, so while studying online I'm looking after my niece. I’ve helped feed her, change her diapers, put her to sleep, play with her, and now, as she grows older, I also help her learn and explore the world around her. This experience has taught me patience, love, and how to handle both the fun and the challenging sides of childcare.
I come from a warm and supportive family. I’ve grown up keeping many things to myself and solving problems independently. Maybe that’s why I feel so drawn to this program—I want to step out of my comfort zone, experience life abroad, and become part of a family who welcomes me as an older sister to their children.
I am a Muslim and wear the hijab, but I’m very respectful of other beliefs and always eager to learn from people around me. I believe in kindness, responsibility, and living with an open heart. I don’t smoke, I love clean and calm environments, and I enjoy reading, writing, and learning languages in my free time.
Becoming an au pair is not just about traveling for me. It’s about growing as a person while helping a family in their daily life. My dream is to one day become a professional translator, and living in a new country while speaking the language daily will be a big step toward that goal.
