Introduction
I’ve always naturally taken the role of an older sister around children. Growing up as an only child, I often spent time with my younger neighbors and cousins. I would play with them, help take care of them, and little by little it became something I genuinely enjoyed. Being around children never made me feel tired. It actually made me feel warm and happy.
During high school, I helped my mother run a small daycare, which gave me my first real experience taking care of children in a more responsible way. Later, during my gap year in 2023, I worked as a kindergarten teacher. While studying at university, I also became an assistant taekwondo coach for kids and teenagers. Through these experiences, I learned how to guide children with patience, responsibility, and kindness.
I’m currently a psychology student focusing on child psychology, education, and development. This helps me understand children not only through experience but also from a psychological perspective, including how they learn, express emotions, and grow.
I enjoy creating fun and meaningful moments with children. I’m quite creative and active, so when I spend time with them it is not just babysitting. I like doing activities together such as drawing, music, small games, sports, or simple learning activities that help them explore their creativity and curiosity.
I also adapt easily to new environments. Living away from home does not make me homesick. Instead, it helps me become more independent and open to new cultures and experiences.
For me, being an au pair is not only about helping a family, but also about building a warm connection with the children and becoming someone they feel comfortable and happy around.
