My name is Sophia, I am 19 years old and I am currently living in Hamburg, Germany.
I am writing to express my interest in becoming an au pair in Japan for 1-3 months.
I am searching for an host family in the time period arround February 2026 until June 2026.
I would like to work in a Family where I can speak English or teach the children some english because I can’t speak any Japanese, but I would be open up to learn a new language :)
I have never been to Japan before, but I really want to get known another country in Asia besides Thailand and to experience what it‘s like to live in Japan.
About me:
* I am 19 years old (16.03.2006)
* I am currently living in Hamburg, Germany
* I graduated this summer (2025)
* My mother is from Thailand and my father is from Germany
* I have one younger brother (15) and one older sister (21)
* I am speaking German and English fluently
* I speak a little French and Thai
* I really like to travel and to learn more about different cultures
I have several experience in childcare, including long-term engagements with multiple families. I am confident in my ability to provide loving, responsible and engaging care for your children.
I am a reliable, adaptable, calm person and happy to adjust to your family‘s lifestyle and rules.
Furthermore I am encourage, and I really enjoy being active with kids or playing and reading with them.
My Experience:
* Since I am 15 years old, I am babysitting at different familys with children aged 0-7 years
* I only have 1 family where I am currently working (since December 2023), where I have to
take care of 2 kids ( right now 2 years old and 3 years old) .
From December 2023- April 2025 I worked 1-2 times weekly and since May 2025 I am working nearly daily, assisting with:
* childcare routines (meals, playtime, educational activities, picking them up from the kindergarden, outside activities, going for a walk, bathing in the bathtub)
* Cooking meals and to do grocery shopping,
* Light household support (tidying, laundry, organizing)
Further Details:
* Ideally I can live with you or you have a accommodation for me
* Workings only during the week and only occasionally weekends
* A small salary
