Dear Host Family,
My name is Sam, I am 17 years old (soon 18) and I come from France. I have just finished high school and I would like to spend some time abroad before starting possible further studies. Becoming an au pair feels like the perfect opportunity to combine my love for children with my wish to discover a new culture and improve my language skills.
I already have experience taking care of children between 5 and 10 years old, mostly the children of my parents’ friends. I helped them with their homework and enjoyed playing different games with them. These moments taught me to be patient, responsible and creative in order to make time together both fun and useful.
As a person, I would describe myself as curious, creative and friendly. In my free time, I enjoy activities such as sewing, origami, and drawing, as well as going for walks outdoors. I believe these hobbies can also be nice to share with children, through crafts or playful activities.
I am available to start around mid-November, after my 18th birthday, and I am flexible about the length of my stay, depending on the arrangements with the family.
