Hello host families!
I'm María José, you can call me María or majo, I'm 18 years old. I live in a town called San Pedro de los Milagros, near the city of Medellin in Colombia.
I am a responsible, organized, respectful, fun (although sometimes shy) and creative person. I enjoy reading, watching movies or series, painting, making crafts, currently my grandmother is teaching me crochet, I also like to comb my hair, braid my hair or make different styles in my hair.
In my free time, I like to share time with my family and friends, spend a good time telling stories, cooking, in fact I am good at baking or doing sports. I would like to be able to share with you a little bit of my culture and have the opportunity to learn from yours.
I like quiet places and having my personal space for my activities, that said, I respect and understand when others want to have them. You can talk and count on me, I will always listen to what you want to tell me and I will also tell you ( if necessary) what I think in the most respectful and empathetic way.
I hope that during my stay in your family I can contribute in the development of the children, where they can trust me, to guide them and validate their feelings, giving them a safe and fun space, where they know I can take care of them.
If you have a pet, we could be good friends, in fact, I have a dog, her name is abby, she is a Siberian Husky.
