Dear family,

I hope you are doing very well. Let me introduce myself, my name is Daniela Bautista
Collante, I am 26 years old, and I am excited to have the opportunity to become an au pair
for your wonderful family.
I come from a family that values family ties, respect and unconditional love. There are 6 of
us total, including myself, my parents, my sisters and my dog. My parents are Edwin Bautista
and Claudia Collante. They are loving, caring, understanding and dedicated people, willing
to go out of their way to help their family and the community. Our relationship is based on
open communication, mutual respect and emotional support.
I also have 2 sisters, who have been my life partners and friends. Although, as in any family,
we have had our differences and challenges, the bond between us is strong. We share
laughs, confidences and experiences that have enriched our lives and taught us the value
of family and teamwork.
My relationship with my parents and sisters is fundamental in my life. We value the time we
spend together and strive to create meaningful and memorable moments. From sharing
family meals to participating in recreational activities.
As for my responsibilities in the family, I have learned to be responsible and collaborative
from an early age. I have helped with household chores such as cleaning, meal preparation
and taking care of my sisters and general housekeeping. This experience has taught me to
be organized, committed and reliable.
Secondly, I am a qualified civil engineer, graduated from the Pontificia Universidad
Javeriana. During my studies, I acquired extensive knowledge in areas such as construction,
structural design, project management and engineering problem solving. This training has
provided me with analytical skills, logical reasoning and the ability to face technical
challenges.
As for my future aspirations, my goal is to continue to grow professionally in the field of civil
engineering and gain experience in sustainable construction and smart infrastructure
projects. However, I also value the opportunity to expand my horizons and enrich my
perspective through cultural and childcare experiences as an au pair.
On the other hand, I feel that being an au pair would provide me with the opportunity to apply
my organizational, planning and attention to detail skills in managing the children's daily
activities. I can also offer support in academic tasks, as I have experience in tutoring and
teaching science-related subjects.
Additionally, I have a keen interest in immersing myself in a new culture and lifestyle. I am
excited for the opportunity to live in the United States, experience its cultural diversity,
explore its landmarks, and learn about its traditions. I believe this experience will provide me
with a unique and enriching perspective, which will help me grow as an individual and
broaden my cultural horizon.
As an au pair, I also value the opportunity to improve my English language skills. I believe
that living and communicating on a daily basis in an environment where English is the main
language will allow me to strengthen my language skills significantly. I believe that this
language improvement will be a valuable asset in my future academic and professional
development.

During my work as a nanny, I have had the opportunity to care for children of different ages,
from newborns to teenagers. I have learned to establish structured routines, ensuring that
the children adhere to their meal, rest and activity schedules. In addition, I have developed
skills to deal with emergency situations in a calm and effective manner.
I have collaborated with parents to provide a safe and stimulating environment for children,
participating in educational and recreational activities. I have helped with homework,
encouraged the development of motor skills, and participated in fun and creative play.
My previous childcare experience has taught me the importance of patience, empathy and
effective communication. I love interacting with children and being a supportive figure in their
growth and development.
